CUPE Hospitals

Attention all Bayshore employees at Greystone Village

Greystone Village is a short-stay transitional care hospital unit that is managed by Bruyère. However, you and your colleagues are employed by Bayshore and Aramark instead of the hospital. This means that Bruyère, Paramed and Aramark are failing to provide you with the wages and benefits that are the standard across the Province for hospital workers represented by CUPE.

Below is an example of the wages CUPE members are making at Bruyère for the same positions at Greystone Village:

  • RPN: $31.17

  • PSW: $24.14

  • Housekeeping Attendant: $23.66

  • Food Service Attendant: $23.57

Trying to pay frontline healthcare workers less than the Provincial standard especially during this pandemic is shameful. You and your colleagues deserve the respect and compensation for the essential services you provide.

Join CUPE

CUPE is Ontario’s hospital union. We represent over 40,000 workers in 120 hospitals across the province.

Joining CUPE will improve your working conditions. CUPE members have the strongest job security provisions of any hospital workers in Ontario. We have also recently campaigned successfully to bring our members increased protections against violence in the workplace.

CUPE is a democratic union that puts its members first. As a CUPE member, you will have a strong voice in your workplace and in your union.
