Health care heroes deserve fair collective agreement

August 5th & 12th events to support bargaining at Toronto Western Hospital

CUPE Hospitals

Toronto Western Hospital has a unique way of rewarding health care workers for their courage, hard work and sacrifice during the pandemic.

As CUPE attempts to negotiate a first collective agreement for the PT clerical workers, and has served notice to bargain for the three other bargaining units, Toronto Western has:

  • unnecessarily prolonged the process by refusing to meet with CUPE to conclude a first collective agreement for TWH part time clerical
  • refused to give part time clerical the same wages and benefits as their full-time counterparts and refused to cooperate in a pay equity exercise
  • put CUPE on notice that they are coming after concessions for all the other UHN groups.

CUPE does not bargain concessions. We can’t accept that your reward is to go backwards. To protect what you have and move forward we all need to apply pressure to achieve a different and better outcome.

Wear your stickers on August 5th or 12th. Tell UHN you want them to treat their health care heroes with respect they deserve.

Your assigned CUPE National staff and Local Executive will be at the hospital on August 5th or 12th.

Take your break and come out for more information and an ice cream treat!
